Pretty much agree with that, too. There are a couple clunkers, but out of the ~74 (?) songs they composed, they mostly range from good to outstanding.
Hard to pick an absolute favorite Smiths song. But I'd probably say 'Cemetry Gates'.

Yeah, if I didn't pick 'Cemetry Gates', my next choice would be 'Panic'. Well done, zak. Love the choice for Rusholme Ruffians, too - totally underrated track. And the simple pleasures of Please Please Please are timeless.
Honestly the opener on this (A Rush and a Push) is an absolute fucking banger, too.

All about the images Rusholme Ruffians conjures up.
Puts you slap bang in the carnival. ‘The air hangs heavy like a dulling wine’ classic!!

Oh very nice, very nice, very nice but maybe in the next world.

'Girlfriend in a Coma' is so good. Maybe a Top 5 Smiths track.

Easily. This album is wildly underrated, and Stop Me has been my long-time favourite Smiths track.

For some reason, I wish "Sweet And Tender Hooligan" would've made it's way onto this album.

Same, I feel as if somehow it's overrated and underrated at the same time.

I Know It's Over surely has to be in everyone's top 10 Smiths tunes, right?

Panic
You've Got Everything Now
Nowhere Fast
Sweet And Tender Hooligan
Girl Afraid
This Night Has Opened My Eyes
Still Ill
Handsome Devil
Asleep
Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
This Charming Man
Ask
Half A Person
I Know It's Over
A Rush And A Push And The Land Is Ours
Pretty Girls Make Graves

Damn, that's a really good top 20.
Love the inclusion of Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others, that bassline is just < 3
Would probably throw in There is a Light and Boy With the Thorn in His Side too.

My list has all the good basslines, notably "Barbarism Begins At Home" and "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now". Andy Rourke is one of my favorite bassists of all time. I've always felt like him and Mike Joyce got the shit end of the stick when they were one of the tightest rhythm sections back then.

Death of a Disco Dancer def sounds like a band at their peak
