Yes, lame chugging riffs and generic cookie monster vocals. Brilliant.

god i fucking hate it when people say cookie monster vocals. I personally think Reverie/Harlequin Forest is the best song.

I agree, Deliverance was pretty boring... Good, but a tad too long.
This just outshines it in every way.

I actually quite like Atonement. It's grown on me. Though it's definately one of the worst songs on the album, I think it may be my favorite of the three soft songs, honestly. It's just so organic. I have to lisen to hours of wealth again though to decide which of the two I like better. Isolation years is my least favorite here, and Im not sure if I like Ghost of Perdition or the Grand Conjuration better. It keeps going back and forth. Those are the two best songs here though.
I may review this sometime soon, even though it was review like a week ago.

I gotta say this is my favorite all round album from Opeth, many may disagree, but i love this album, im a big fan of their newer sounding stuff. DONT get me wrong its just as much as i love their older tunes, but theres just a certain peak in this album that i enjoy. I would have to say alot has to do with the tone of it all, and like always the technically is spectacular. I give this album 5/5. Classic work in my opinion epecially for modern melodic/progressive death metal.

I suggest starting with Blackwater Park. It's an amazing album, and best shows their style old and new. It's their second best album imo, shortly behind Still Life, but BP is a better start. IT was my first Opeth album (that was only about a month ago.)

My favorite Opeth song is Bleak, though I only have Blackwater Park...until now that is! This is my 2nd Opeth CD, and I better enjoy it, or someone's gonna die here. :pThis Message Edited On 03.16.07

Bleak is the best song on BP, and my second favorite opeth song overall :P
I still don't have orchid though, but i don't think anything will be as amazingly awesome as still life or BP. I heard ITMSWS as a live performance on youtube though, and it sounded amazing, so i may be pleasantly surprised.
