Yea gotta jam this again soon. Really brings back memories Band gets way too much hate for their first three honestly but they deserve it for their most recent haha

This is my favorite of theirs by a long way. I was actually shocked when I first joined sput that it only has a 3.1!

Has a few dec songs, but overall it bores me. Their debut + A Beautiful Lie are and probably always will be their best work

In his oscar after show when he was doing the usual Q & A Jared said something pretty interesting: He said that no one ever talked about awards while filming Dallas Buyers Club and he thought that winning was far fetched. He hadn't won a single award for anything he'd done on screen UNTIL Dallas Buyers Club, but he won tons of awards for the thing that he's criticized the most for, which is music. Go figure right?

For music, they normally do I agree. I love the oscars though he deserved that one a whole lot. I was just saying it was pretty interesting how it worked out like that for him.

Stranger in a strange land is the best track on this, recently dug out my vinyl copy and gave it a spin, album has grown on me massively

honestly if they cut one or two of the weaker "typical" tracks from this and the lyrics weren't so cookie-cutter, this could be really really good. Every time I come back to it I'm amazed how well the majority of it holds up and how genuinely invigorating the vibes it gives off are. Production/mix is great too.

no doubt about it

sometimes I'm more in the mood for their debut, but this has way better songs

only 2 30STM I listen to at all these days. Some decent tracks on ABL but not enough to make a great album out of.

Well if he left the pompus at home this band would be great. This album has so much potential to be awesome; Alibi, Stranger in a Strange Land, Hurricane, Night of the Hunter and L490 are legitimately amazing. It's just stuff like 100 Suns, Vox Populi and Search & Destroy that are horrible and out of place here.
