The lyrics have meaning, it's about someone with an addiction and while the lyrics generally seem happy the solem sparse sound of the acoustic version along with rivers tortured vocal delivery really do bring a whole new meaning to the song. The original version is way to upbeat to be effective plus lil Wayne is awful

I consider myself a moderate Weezer defender. I say they have 4 quality albums which is more than most people give them credit for, but this has basically no redeeming qualities. Like yeah, it's catchy and the songs are structured competently, but it's like Rivers completely forgot what made Weezer what they are and went full on self-parody for two albums.
