I kind of see where the other guys are coming from.
It seems like those who are really into metalcore,etc.... enjoy TSC while those who like progressive metal/rock more dig the TGMD(to the poster who said this review is objective,yeah right) so it really isn't a surprise that Coke would be turned off by those progressive elements in TGMD but like someone else said , regardless of score, I think it would be better to refrain from trying to compare it to past albums as the band has changed their sound dramatically.

This was ok but it really sounds like Colours 2.0.
This amuses me, Coke writes a positive review and he's getting way more trollage than I am. Can't rely on anything these days.
Reading the review again, I feel I need to take back my comment about this review feeling like a 3-3.5. The trolling of this review is rather hilarious actually.

I fully agree that they couldn't write a song to save their lives however, some individual sections of each song are top notch.

really? there were a lot of moments in colors where I just wanted to shut it off. Mainly during the heavier bits.
the heavier sections in this feel more coherent.
Granted, this still has a shit ton of wank.

I don't really compare it to their other albums at all, these kids are just retarded, that's all. I made a vague reference to The Silent Circus to say how good this album was and I briefly mentioned how it improves upon Colors. Not sure how that warrants being trolled but alas Between the Buried and Me fans are morons.
