that's the point. certain users have said its a commercial and critical failure to support their arguments that it really does suck and anyone who likes it is just pretending

Well just because a bunch of music critics like an album doesn't mean its any good. But yeah, i do see your point. I'm one of the users that thinks it kind of sucks, but whatever.

that's fine, I was indirectly referring to redsparrow. The metacritic response is actually pretty split but their insane scoring system skewed it up. It's easy to see why this album would rub someone the wrong way

This reminds me in terms of texture and feel of Opeth's Damnation for some reason. I like this slightly better than The Devil and God.

I don't understand how everyone sees this as being difficult to get into. It's pretty straightfoward stuff it's just different than anything brand new have done. But it really makes sense if you follow how not only how the direction they've always been going in, but the direction of the whole scene they're more or less part of. Like United Nations with Geoff from thursday and daryl from glassjaw and converge's drummer or whatever is all about going back to skramz influences. Daisy is drawing from grunge and noise rock, which was all around them just as much as skramz was when jesse and vinn and everyone else in the band was growing up. Daisy makes sense to me.

And with baited hands
and baited lines
churn my waters
to bring about my truth
and in the end
I can't see your eyes
and I can never justify
the way my eyes
never moved to meet yours
I can never justify
why I couldn't see you
why I've never been able to see you
I've never been able to see
why can't I see?
why can't my eyes move?

"Nevermind, the point is that joke's still funny.''

only if you've been around long enough to see me bullshiting in action more than once. for instance i don't think i've ever seen qwe 1, 2, or 3 before today, so I don't really know what exactly he's referring to. the joke's funny. if you actually understand it.

and i've heard this record.

Good album but I think I might like The Devil and God are Raging a little better but then again that album took a few time to grow on me.
