from anyone that's seen them on their farewell tour, how much shit from mandala are they playing? the only reason im seeing them for what has to be the 10th and 11th time is so hopefully they play infection.

I've probably played Mandala the most, but I'd say it's just as good as And the Battle Begun. Definitely more accessible I feel.

if you got into them just in the last couple years then i could totally see how someone could think that mandala is the best. but for me, i've loved these guys since 2002 and my favorites are The Resignation and Progress. i cant listen to mandala all the way through. it's just too much. its like listening to a more soulful mars volta. plus i really miss the horns. in my opinion, just because an album is a band's most technical doesn't mean it's their best.

p.s. the format suck.

Dog Problems is the shit redsky. It's grown on me a ton in the past few years. I'm guessing you're not a fan of fun. either haha.

But yeah you're definitely right about the technicality aspect of their albums. And I always did kinda get a poor man's Mars Volta feel from their later stuff.

Have to agree with Redsky, The Resignation is my favorite at the moment.

Artwork is so Mars Volta.

Only halfway into "Lonesome" and I can tell it's going to be fucking legendary.
