"I enjoyed the works of atmospheric black metal band Agalloch, but that’s as far as my knowledge on the genre goes."
I would suggest Marduk.

Anaal Nathrakh will probably never match the velocity and brutality that was displayed on their first few albums, but 'In the constellation...' has a good go at doing so. Like its predecessor, 'Hell is Empty...', clean vocals and melodic guitar work are just as prominent as the band's take on modern black metal and grindcore, though not always successful. A couple of songs suffer from this, but in general it makes for a nice combination.
