Really bloc? I liked spanner a lot more than this.

He's alright, but I seem to be more of a fan of wank-y stuff (like this) when it comes to instrumental guitar albums. Spanner is a bit on the simple and plain side for me.

As a person who hates -- really, FUCKING HATES -- guitar-wank shred-metal bands, Animals As Leaders is sublime. CAFO, being the highlight of the album, exemplifies the fusion of flowing melodies and technical atmospherics. You may get caught up in the scaling, but for the majority of the song, the "point" is the chugging rhythmelody. Listen to the lower register as much as you can, follow the drums, and let the riffs spill over you.
When listened to in this way, The Price of Everything and the Value of Nothing becomes suddenly serene, and the whole album opens up in front of you.

Animals as Leaders are not on Sumerian bloc.
I'm not sure why I keep thinking they are. I think it's because they're so tight with bands like Periphery who is on Sumerian.

band is getting a little too big. i talked to tosin after a show back on their last tour, and he said that they were going to record a new album after that tour. unfortunately, they decided to hop on a tour with Thursday and A Skylit Drive. i mean i guess its good that they are getting their music out to a wider audience, but im kinda worried they might sell out, because they aren't too metal to become mainstream.

no way this is a 5 or even a 4.5 imo

I really don't see how a instrumental metal band can sell out, they are not on a major label and the music they play is pretty non existent to be considered ''mainstream'' music.
