I dooooooo enjoy the two albums following this one, but they just don't hit me quite in that special place
although I appreciate the fact they aren't carbon copies

Yesterday and Today will always be my fave Field. HMMMM.
Much of that love (but not all of it) is caused by Leave It, which is in my top 10 tunes ever forever.

best one is looping state of mind for me, but any of the first 3 are a fair shout (the black albums are good too, but they are a level below for me)
just put this on!

This album changed my life - top 3 of all time for me. And nothing that has come since has disappointed (but this is the only 5).

"any of the first 3 are a fair shout (the black albums are good too, but they are a level below for me)" [2]
Also "And nothing that has come since has disappointed." [2], but then with Y&T being my only 5.0, the first and third being a 4.5 and the last three being strong 4.0s. Dude knows how to make fantastic music and does so on a consistent basis.

The Fields are trying to seduce! Don’t let M. Night Shyamalan know!

Yesterday and Today is a *fraction* below this but still a 5. Leave It > t/t > The More That I Do is in contention for the greatest ever 3-track run imo
Looping is very close as well
Don't listen to the black albums all that often but they're still generally great

Looping is defs the weakest of the first three imo, has a lot of great tracks but no highlights on the same level + a somewhat disappointing closing run. Probs like it as much as the Follower at this point (which is less solid end-to-end, but has an absolutely unbelievable second half - huge grower)

what looping has amazing highlights. it's up there & t/t are top tier the field for me

The Follower is underrated. I liked the darker undertones (unless the black cover influenced me into believing it was darker than it was). Yesterday and Today was my biggest grower - took me ages to accept the vocals in the second track.

the ahs are why heart beats is good. kinda ruins it with the bass
