lol I love all the negative review marks when it wasn't a poorly written review
|

As I said earlier
This review really doesn't constitute for as many negs as it has received.

take out the obvious bias and anti-fanboyism in some of the sections and it'd be a perfectly good review.
seriously devsol, do more reviews like your first one and you'd get a pretty solid reputation here.

whoa this turned out pretty good.
i really want to reply to a lot of things people have said but that's too much effort, but one thing i noticed
You have taken the other route, instead attacking anyone who brought to question the contents of your review. Sadly, this either makes you a troll, who wrote this review purely for provocative purposes, or a complete asshole, who wrote this purely for provocative purposes.
I've hardly attacked anybody, except for the first page on the thread when a few very feeble attempts at criticising my review were made.
Secondly, Angelphoenix is a fanboy who at least has his wits about him (unlike HighandDriving and a few others), a few things I'll mention.
Because most metal vocalist that use harsh vocals tottally change up the pitch and tone of their growls/screams, ect. like multiple times in every song. Or at least every song...or at least once or twice. Right? No.
Actually, a lot of metal vocalists do change their pitch and tone slightly, doing highs and lows depending on the musical situation. If there's one thing I hate, it's monotonous vocals in an album that requires more than that.
this review makes you come off as a narrow-minded elitist prick.
as narrow minded as someone who listens to nothing but metal? i think not

I really don't see much difference in style between this and your first one other than that everyone spooges over this album a lot more.
|
| |
i think it's funny how every user who likes the album feels it necessary to point out exactly why i'm wrong and why they're right

i think all power metal albums should be given negative reviews like this because they all, without exception, are trite and meaningless. good review.

I pos'ed this review because of its blatant anti-homosexual comments

lol first of all, check out my "Omg AngelPhoenix listens to non-metal stuff" list.
Secondly, I like having my pie chart read out only metal on this website. I guess you couldn't possibly imagine that I listen to many other types of music (indie and classic rock and post-punk thanks to my gf, some hip hop and r&b, some hard and punk rock thanks to my friends, some jazz, doo wop, and latin music thanks to my mom, and some classical, opera, techno, the list goes on) and I just simply don't rate the albums here.
Actually, a lot of metal vocalists do change their pitch and tone slightly, doing highs and lows depending on the musical situation
Saying a lot is an exaggeration, if it's slightly, then it's probably doesn't matter much overall, and if it's very slightly, Jari does this on this album several times. This Message Edited On 01.27.09
