the last minute of that song shocked the hell out of me the first time i heard it - especially when that guitar kicks in at like 13:45 (it's subtle, but i can easily hear it and it's incredible)

also not sure why so many people say 'i've really come around to marathon.' that song was my favourite the first few times i heard this

the spoken word outro at the very end is one of the worst things i've ever heard though

Our eyelashes weaken with a weight that is sweet and fine,
And this feels like frogs and spiders in the sweet outside.
Tell me why world, unfathomable and good,
The beauty of everything is infinite and cruel

so? it lasts like 15 seconds. i don't know about you, but that's not enough to subtract .5

that doesn't sound lame to you?

the part that comes after it is even worse, and the way he says it makes me cringe. that's like, grade 9 poetry-level bad

it's pretentious.

" a 5/5 album doesn't have moments you would consider to be one of the worst things you've ever heard."this is retarded. i have my own criteria for rating things, mk? also *moment... very brief too

"it's pretentious."

not really, repetition is one of the most basic figures of rhetorical style in poetry/writing ever since some douche found out that his pen could do more than just convey information

Pretentious: "attempting to impress by affecting greater importance or merit than is actually possessed."

a 5 doesn't mean 'perfect' to everyone. it has some deeper meaning than that
