numbers are high, but the banter is that this is a throw away album almost.

wham bro i never really heard of this as a throwaway album.....always was well respected and is obviously a great listen at a minimum......now Coda on the other hand, and maybe In Through to a lesser extent....that, i've heard

many zep fans who grew up with the band (your Dad perhaps?) were turned off by this because of the obvious drop in overall quality.....it's their Technical Ecstasy....but to many of us who may have heard it around the same time as the preceeding 6 albums (downloading entire discogs), the effect isn't as off putting

well now you are hitting below the belt, this kicks the crap out of TE, the drop is not every song may be radio quality as in not a single, but there are great songs on there and it is clearly a Zep album, I could not tell that TE is even a BS album, it is atrocious, this is no such thing. Zep never decided to let Bonzo sing a song, they never fell that far

This destroys Technical Ecstasy though

Tech's like a 3 at best... but more like a 2.5 actually

This has Achilles so it really doesn't matter what else is on here.

Achillies is amazing, but For Your Life, Royal Orleans, and Hots on For Nowhere are all also brilliant so I'm not sure why this album gets any hate at all

Maybe all of the hard rockers don't like funk in their hard rock

If you're gonna hate on zep you have to pick an individual song or Coda, almost everything they put out is bulletproof

wasn't exactly comparing it to TE per se, it is more of both records highlighting drops in quality.....not sure what you guys are going on about as far as this record getting bashed, because i haven't seen it

and wham, as far as your view on TE, I don't think I've ever disagreed with you more.....as a matter of fact, i probably go to that one more so than i do this.....far from atrocious

This has grown on me massively over the years. For Your Life is definitely up there with my favourite Zep songs these days.

Marginally, sure

Tea for One is a god jam, but it lacks personality
