I've heard some songs off Kill 'Em All. Wasn't that impressed. Still not enough to justify the mindless idol worship Cliff gets.
I kept hearing people talking as if he invented the bass solo in rock/metal (that was actually John Entwistle of The Who) and how he was the end-all of bassists. I've heard nothing to back these insane claims up.

So forcing myself to sit through two of the albums he was on doesn't count as giving him a chance? Hell, that's more of a chance than some of you people give an entire band!
He did alter metal bass guitar for tons of people past and present. Just read tabs of his bass lines or something.

This album was awesome. Although I have to say Kill 'em All was my fav.

The only reason people feel the need to say that a Metallica album (such as this) is lame is because they feel its horribly overrated. I get annoyed when people say that this is the greatest album ever, because its not, but its not that far from the top.
