Awesome album, I like Heafy he always seems like a chill and laid back guy in interviews, maybe a little cocky but when you can play like him at his age I'd say he's entitled to it a little bit.
I can't wait to hear the new album with Nick on drums!

next album is make or break for them for me, Ascendancy showed promise, Crusade plain out sucked and this put them back on track, if the god of war track is any indication, they are going back to the old sound....which personally i think is a step backwards.

I think 'Shattering...' was the most brutal song they have released. Sounded really promising to me, I like Trivium most when they really kick in with their aggressive side. Which explains why 'Pull Harder...' was such an awesome song imo.

I thought Shattering the Skies Above sounded like Ascendancy in terms of style, structure, etc., but you can definitely hear some influence from Shogun as well. Also, their new drummer is excellent. I'm really looking forward to the next album, I think it could actually keep my interest for a while this time.

He may not have the voice for black metal, but he says all the time he is a big fan of the genre and the song he did on the roadrunner united cd wasnt bad at all. Either way wouldnt interest me whether he did black metal or not its just not appealing to me.
