Yeah Rowdy, in normal circumstances, I would have given Anberlin a miss this time around, BUT that sneaky little marketing trick of theirs won me over. Whether it turns out to be something special or nothing but a gimmick, only time will tell.
Went & saw 'Rock of Ages' during the week too. Absolutely hilarious fun... With the added bonus of lots of lingerie & legs.

Well, some of us have to pay for them.
Oh & I left out Soundwave Rev, which will probably knock me out for a week.

I saw Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be at the Athenaeum Theatre the other night. If you like AC/DC you should go see it because it ruled

Bah, I still pay for gigs sometimes, especially local ones. Bands you wouldn't know about because they don't have two albums and aren't signed to a major record label.

Don't get what? I was quoting you with "sometimes" being the operative word & now that you have 2 releases, I can half think about going to see you on your upcoming national gig.

Huh, I find myself liking a few of the songs a lot, but some of them, I really don't care for. I like the album with the songs individually but I actually get tired of listening to them over a span of time.
I like that it's different, psuedo-theatrical and dancy yet still extremely accessible, but sometimes it backfires - big time. But I guess repetitiveness and his whiny-ness is my biggest complaint here. Re-listening to this, I think I might bump this one up a bit.

Yeah, all fair points JSF. For a debut, it was probably over-ambitious, so there was always gonna be some misses amongst the hits.

Nah, ambition is good here. Still can't really stand listening to it in a period of time but it's definitely a grower. They did a good job, you can draw a lot of charisma from their songs even though the emotion is nearly intangible and the whiny-ness is ever so annoying. They definitely manage to stand out.
Time To Dance is awesome. "When I say shotgun, you say wedding."
Shotgun.
