A band like MGMT are always gonna open themselves up to some hating, but they definitely don't deserve it all. I don't even have any issue with radio over-playing their songs (coz I don't listen to the radio... LOL), it's just the consistency of the album I have issues with. The variety they attempted was definitely admirable, but it may have been best left for their next album.

They're a good band to relax and groove to. Wouldn't say they've touched anything too deep within me though.

It is out at the start of March from memory. It will be interesting to see if it will make as much of an impression as their debut.

The new stuff they played at Splendour was terrible. But then again, their entire set was terrible.

i just can't into this band, my friend loves these guys and i can't get a feel for em, trust me i've tried several times. though i do have to sayt that kids is not a terrible song

I don't think you're the only one who can't get into them. They're not for everyone... Especially their non-singles.
