I feel that No Girl So Sweet handles punchier songwriting much better, but Sky is further sabotaged by absolutely rotten sequencing. Never vibed it at all following Angelene

I do find the kind of back and forth between the atmospheric and rock tracks here a bit offputting in general, idk if that one’s a particularly bad offender.

Damn no wonder I have this rated so highly, seeing the track-listing broken down into tiers like that makes me realise how difficult ranking it actually is. Catherine is absolutely a top pick and yet I barely conjured up it's existence vs the other three in the 'A+ segment'.
I think 3/4s of this album could be in my top tier depending on my mood tbh... have that for a copout answer

also, always wish there had been a version of this which included sweeter than anything, although i suppose it wouldn't really fit anywhere in the sequencing

White Chalk is my 2nd favorite but 100% without question her most left field genre wise
Stories is overrated as fuck but yeah it’s still good
PJ only has one weak album anyway and it hasn’t been mentioned yet

I want to like this one best but To Bring tops it slightly by being a bit more consistent. White Chalk is about tied with this one. Let England Shake and Stories slightly below this. The Trio albums are excellent but a tiny bit more dated/just not quite as much my thing but still love them. Honestly aside from her two distinctly weaker (solo) albums (I haven’t heard the John Parish collab ones) all her albums are amazing and not too far apart in quality.

White Chalk (while ace) has the most in common with plinkyplonk sadgirl trash and Stories has the most bland cosmopolitan whateverness, so I'll stand by those predictions

Maybe don’t be a slave to Apple Music and find a version that actually has the song.
