Roll up for the mystery BORE.
Some world class tunes here, but some atrocities!

@avon Yeah I heard that story but to me it's just "Lennon heard people wanted to analyse his lyrics so he deliberately wrote bullshit"
Which ones don't you like BBB?

Penny Lane, Flying, All You Need Is Love, a few others, I'm sure, haven't spun in a while. I don't really like I Am The Walrus either.
Blue Jay Way is the best song ever though.

Walrus is my favourite Beatles track but probably more so for that genius outro where the bassline descends but strings keep ascending with the King Lear stuff mixed in. and also that amazing string break in the middle and then 'sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun'
and then there's Strawberry Fields. that's why I slightly prefer this to Sgt Peppers - that flows better as an album but imo this has higher highs.

'Buttery wtf man like seriously.'
WTF man with you like seriously, it's a cult album for one reason only - the acid influences, which aren't that impressive. WALRUS has a fantastic melody, but I don't buy the nonsensical lyrics, I just don't. The guy just wrote any old shit that came to his mind and then gave that meaning, when he was questioned.
You can't honestly sit here and claim that this is better than Rubber Soul, well you can, but I can't see why.

I reckon this is about on par with Rubber Soul, both 4.5s for me. Abbey Road and Revolver both 5s but it's all pretty close. Help is also a very strong 4 for me.

yeah that's awesome. and when they recall that melody from You Never Give Me Your Money. it's crazy - i reckon if you split those up and fleshed those out as individual songs alot of them would be pretty average but the short forms in the medley just kick ass.
really love Sun King and Because too. the 3 part(+?) harmonies.

@Chris Agreed, it flows so well and the last three songs (real songs, not fucking Her Majesty) are all among their best imo

Because has three part harmonies triple tracked I'm pretty sure, so its 9 (!) voices harmonising perfectly

They should've used harmonies more often than they did
