Why does Brain Eno have a bunch of albums that have abysmal averages? Dude has like 15 albums after this one that have like 20/30 votes and around like a 2.5 avg or sometimes less. What is so bad about those albums?

Eno was experimental, not every experiment works. Some albums weren't even meant to be albums--art installations and stuff that got released. And then he got old and had a harder time with that certain spark.

Have you considered that some of your students may not want to hear music when they are trying to work?

In summer school they focus better that way, just like output wise for me. Regular school all told I didn’t play that much music during writing, though definitely sometimes

I just figured I would ask. I resented a few of my high school teachers for playing music during class when trying to work, because even the most un-obtrusive music breaks my focus. I'm sure you have had students who don't like it but chose not to speak up.

Oh no doubt there are students who don’t like it but at a charter school you have to think in masses and kids are getting closer this way. Totally the possibility of confounding variables but with a group (summer school specifically) drawn from “students who failed the year at a shitty charter school” in particular the silence absolutely slays them. They cannot do it
