always felt that half these songs were an extension of the tone and instrumentation on Liberty Bell tbh

"Bad Movie Scene into Colorado Incident used to be a major highlight for me. Both great tracks"
Still is for me!! So much of this is wonderful lovely ultra, yet I still think it is my least fave of the Anneke-era, and I might even prefer Disclosure over it, too.

I kind of have the same feeling than Johnny. Shot To pieces definitely comes to mind.

Yeah that makes sense.
Chousifar the atmosphere is great, possibly better than this indeed, but there's just too many tracks I don't care.

Can't get Rollercoaster's groove out of my head right now.

this is by far the gatherings best album IMO
Amity is maybe the bands defining track, Saturnine is great, Analog Park is a groove, Rollercoater is one of my faves, Shot to Pieces is a rocker, other good songs for sure

Nice! It's my least fave Anneke and I prefer Disclosure to it too, but it still rules of course.

yeah, I'm with Trif here
pretty wild calling this their pinnacle imo, but I like the boldness of that statement regardless. Remarkably consistent band

^ while that remains true, I could certainly be persuaded to bump this. The first half up to Colorado Incident is particularly strong
Then again, is it lawful to furnish all (okay ‘most’) of a band’s discog with 4s?

Anneke on Bad Movie Scene's central part... Do we really deserve to hear anything this good?
