Radiohead is listed as a similar band for their final album, Short Wave on a Cold Day. There's no Radiohead here. Ha ha. At least listen to "Daterape Cookbook" and :Michigan Jesus" (find the lyrics) before you quit this album. Definitely check out Short Wave on a Cold Day, though.

I was kind of surprised you like this. But, really, after the first two songs there’s definitely so alternative rock added to the punk/metal/industrial/prog chaos.

Honestly it's pretty listenable considering its genre. I've heard far messier. This isn't love at first listen but I can see the appeal. I'll probably check Short Wave some time this month while 2019 releases slow to a crawl.

Songs For Insects is easily the most metal of the five releases, and there's some awesome songs on it. Mods, to me is the most original of the five, though. I don't know, I prefer each for different reasons.

I think Sowing would love Short wave on a cold day, too bad that album ends on such a dull note. After Hello Murder most of the songs feel like filler, probally because it was their last album.

Reading the interviews from the time of that album's release, that's the exact reason. The band were done after that album, so they just put everything left onto it. They probably should have made it a 'disc 2' or something to separate it from the actual release.
