Everyone knows Converge's drummer is better than most.

And Chris Pennie's work with DEP is hardly the kind of music that should be classified under metalcore anyway.

And a blast beat is when the snare and ride/hi-hat are played together in conjunction with double bass pedals at very fast tempos. That's a basic description anyway.

Hehe, yeh Confessed, but I was just sayin'. Most "Mathcore" drummers are better than metalcore drummers because of the harder tempos and whatnot, but I will not deny Jordan is a good drummer.

As far as metalcore drummers go the dude from Bleeding Through is pretty insane as well. Jordan is my favorite though, I just find his work so tasteful and fitting.

They are kinda wasted on their respective bands, though.

Jordan is definitely pretty sick, especially on this album. His feet can get beastly fast at times.

They're pretty stellar live from what I've heard. They're playing over here with Darkest Hour and Architects soon but I don't know if I have the cash to go.

Jordan's drumming definitely improved again after the garbage on Shadows Are Security. But as for best metalcore drummer, I'd have to give that to Matt Greiner.

I don't know about seeing AILD and Darkest Hour on tour, they're both pretty average bands, but seeing as I've never been to a metal concert before, I should do it. I'm lame yeah. This Message Edited On 08.26.07

Yeah, Metal concerts are amazing...i'd get on seeing one asap. Bands like As I Lay Dying always put on an amazing show, they prolly put on the 3rd best set i've ever seen. Also, a lot of people are saying they hate the clean vocals...after listening to this album non stop for the past few days...i'd have to say they are really starting to grow on me, especially the chant parts.
