I wish people were more open-minded about this album- I like metal-ish pumpkins.

I've bumped this slot lately and it really holds up in light of everything afterwards (Oceania was great though).

Tarantula is up there with the best songs they've ever written

Yeah, I don't think this lived up to the hype at the time of release but it's still solid. I like that it's just Jimmy and Billy having some fun, it didn't sound laboured like a lot of stuff after. It's like an album-length continuation of the Zero EP.

This album is easily better than any of what they've released after, Oceania included. Mixing and some questionable songwriting choices aside, it's a very good rock album and some of the best instrumental work Billy and especially Jimmy have ever done.

Yeah, this album is peak Jimmy. Disagree about this being better than Oceania, but it's definitely solid and way better than the new one.

yeah always kinda liked this one, nothing amazing but definitely solid. vocals are fairly poor but the guitars and drums sound great imo. bonus tracks were really good too.

Monuments to an Elegy is kinda close to this sonically, not better but probably my 2nd fav post-reunion thing from them
