I was recommended this as a must-own post-rock album. I feel mislead; this most definitely isn't post-rock. That said, it's still damn good.
nah it is, it's just very very early post rock

Spirit of Eden, this, and Mark Hollis's self-titled album are a near-flawless trilogy.

New Grass is a 5/5 for me. Phenomenal song. One of the best I've heard in music. Rest of the songs could stand to be a little more consistent, but otherwise, they're great in their own right (kinda like GS!BE, but much shorter — which I appreciate more).

I just read-up on this album, and now I understand the erraticism. Interesting that this was an improvised record. This is phenomenal in itself, and to learn it was improvised? Shit...

I haven't even listened to this album a ton, but after I played it a few times it just felt right. So right. No question in my mind this is a classic.
