Anyone who consistently uses the term deathcore is a fool, freakin over categorizing. Also Kalkal is right this album diffently has hardcore influence in its rhymth and feel. This Message Edited On 05.30.07

I can't believe people are arguing over the term 'deathcore'.

There really is no such thing...

And I agree with the guy above; there is a definite hardcore influence, notably in the rhythms.

Well, I think there is, but it really isn't anything JFAC is anymore. I don't even see the hardcore influence much.

If this album is suppose to be death metal, then it's horrible.

if it's not supposed to be death metal, then is it not horrible?

That is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

why couldn't there be deathcore? just combine death metal and metalcore elements and what do you get? deathcore.

Kind of. I mean what would you say otherwise: Death Metal/Metalcore.

No one who calls this album deathcore is an idiot: thats just stupid and immature prejudice. As far as I'm concerned, JFAC still has hardcore influences which are still slightly mirrored in their new release, notably the feel to it.

I can't believe this is still going on. It's metal and that's good enough for me. Should be enough for all of you too.

..and anyone who defines a metal band by the lyrics is just plain stupid.

Um how can you not hear the hardcore influence in this album. Death Metal rhythms are based in deep grooves. This album's rhythms chug like hardcore music. I mean listen to Morbid Angel if you want to hear how a death metal rhythm is supposed to sound.

Yeah, I hear it too on some of the songs. It isn't necessarily a hxc influence though-Behemoth uses the C chord chug quite a bit as well and theyre probably not influenced by hxc x_x.

Although, based on this band's history, they might have incorporated some hxc influence in some of the songwriting.

Calling this deathcore is dumb though, I think we've established that.

Or maybe it's just that people don't like this band because they're mediocre.
