Yeah, I find his vocals in Space Academy and Tunguska to be catchy as fuck. Pre-chorus of Space Academy, and verses in Tunguska in particular.

Jay is still incredible, but compared to his performance on here? I don't think it's even close

Well that's the production. Im kind of convinced 4 of these songs were not re-recorded with Watts

is the closer one of those songs? it sounds odd. and i mean just sonically it sounds muffled and with a lower volume than the rest.

yup it's my least favorite no doubt. instrumentally it just drags and i don't like what jay did with it either

Storm said something about To Bloom and T/T both being the same song/closer, but even viewing it as an epilogue to To Bloom, it's still jarring how absolutely empty and boring the song sounds

makes sense. i haven't compared them musically but lyrically they both seem to carry an underlying theme, maybe storm can correct me on this.

i would have very much preferred an intro/interlude type song and wipe out the title track entirely or have it as a b side. without the closer the record has the same length as satellite years which works for me.

The closer is very very very easily the worst song I've heard from this band literally nothing happens

If you say so. I thought it was one of the most melodic songs on the album and I thoroughly enjoyed it

@banana idk. I just know Adam said they had 4 of these songs finished recording in 2011 before the reunion show that same year and Jay added vocals over them later on

I'm glad others are enjoying it! I love To Bloom at least

i admit tho i wanted something heavier as the closer. nothing will match the bending but at least something melodic and brutal. as much as i love magnetic north i always thought paisley was a weak closer so i'm bummed arbiter has the same fault (in my eyes). not a bad song but i would agree is bottom tier hopesfall.

edit: to bloom is the jam

To each their own c: and if there's one thing I can say To Bloom and Indignation... are pretty similar. Maybe if they took the best parts of both of those songs and put them into one it would be their best closer

At least you liked Faint Object Camera steak lol. Any others stand out? To me, Aphelion into Drowning Potential is their best material since Satellite Years

I Catapult had one part that was dope, but then went right back to being boring. The whole album was a huge snoozefest for me

Drowning Potential is unbelievable, and I love Aphelion too. Faint Object Camera, HA, Drowning Potential and To Bloom are the best songs imo
