Not going to lie, Seize The Day was the first song that got me into this record. It's hard to believe two years ago, they were just guest starrin on Bleeding Through songs and such and now, they're big time. Strength Of The World is amaammazing.

Heh, this album would really loose the whole epic feel if you took off 15-20 minutes. I enjoy for the most part all of the album (save a few things here or there). And for Bat Country, you couldn't really take off any of the minutes, becasue it's a song that was more about lyrics then anything else, so it wouldn't make as much sense.

The only reason I don't have this rated higher is because there are several moments that I wish M. Shadows would just shut the hell up with his overdubs and let the instrumental bits breathe. But with that said, the instrumental sections themselves are really well-written and performed. I think if Shadows was replaced with a more traditional metal frontman like Bruce Dickinson or Rob Halford, people wouldn't be quite as harsh on the band's work (nor would the band's "image" be as much of a point of contention)

The classical guitar solo that Synyster's dad does at the end of Sidewinder is still fantastic

Oh my god that outro with both of them playing the left/right speakers is just the cutest thing ever

Plus, the instrumental bridge earlier in the song, in which the harmonized guitars are firing on all cylinders... man, I've gotta jam this album again soon

Sidewinder is hands down the best song this band ever did. Kinda wish the rev or someone else did the vocals tho, could’ve been excellent. That’s syn’s dad on the dueling acoustic guitars in the end right?
