Honestly I really wish that human props wasn’t a single because front to back I think it’s one of their most finely crafted and well performed songs ever. That song is fucking flawless. My favorite here along with Adult Diamond and Adapter

I think that hospice and nostalgia kills are easily strong enough to sell people on the album, especially with a band whose fanbase is this fiercely loyal. They don’t have millions of fans but I feel like most people that are into them are VERY into them… that and I’ve grown to not just hate when closers are singles but I’m starting to hate when anything near the closer is a single. Imagine having not heard human props and for the first time you get Adult Diamond, that, and Treading back to back to back.
Whatever tho, what that really means is the album has an insanely strong finish. Definitely a stronger finish than Rouge imo

Funny because Human Props chorus never grew on me, I straight up don't like it. I'd replace that track with Crying in a heartbeat.
I'm trying to sit with it for a bit and not let recency bias make the call for me, but I'm leaning towards the new album topping this one overall.
