All of Me Wants All of You and Drawn to the Blood are like two of the best here. If anything Eugene, John My Beloved, and The Only Thing are the bottom three. Still great songs though, one of the most consistent albums of the decade.

“John My Beloved” is second weakest after t/t but “The Only Thing” and “Eugene” are top 5, the latter prob top 3. “Death With Dignity” is the best. But honestly everything here is perfect or her perfect except for t/t and John.

rofllmao no bro but it's sweet, maybe like 6th or 7th best. I suppose it's better than The Only Thing, John My Beloved, and the t/t.

Eugene is a wonderful little song, but I just feel that the first four tracks, Drawn to the Blood, and Blue Bucket of Gold are multi-faceted masterpieces.

"Eugene" is a much, much needed moment of (relative) levity here. A perfect little song, I definitely take it over everything aside from the bookends.

Yeah Eugene is essential to the mood and much needed, since the rest is so depressing it's almost suffocating. That's probably the only complaint I'd have with the album overall, so more songs like Eugene may have improved that. Maybe it's more of a highlight than I realized...

It took me a really long time to finally digest this album after listening to the first few songs off it (I'm new to folk). Listening to Bon Iver's For Emma, Forever Ago recently helped, but it wasn't until I listened to 'The Only Thing' that it finally started to click.

Damn I've never had an album that took me years to dig suddenly just click and fire on all cylinders to my listening experience. Not a skip-worthy track here anymore either.

Fourth of July absolutely floors me with the raw emotion, whether it be the lyrics, the mood, the atmosphere, whatever. And for some reason, I can't stop listening to it. The song takes me back to when my grandmother-in-law was dying from lung cancer, and I saw my father-in-law (a man that NEVER shows emotions) completely break down and give his final goodbyes to her at her bed in the hospital. I can't help but wonder what I'll be like when I see my mother in her final moments.

Definitely the best song on this album for me.
