Built to Spill would be a good alternative for the "pussies" who can't handle the louder stuff on this i guess
it has more in common with stuff like Whir & Luna than Cherub Rock

It's all opinions really. I think the "louder stuff", as you called it, is the best stuff here. It's the mellow stuff that I think is written really poorly. That's where Built to Spill come in, I think they have a greater balance and songwriting approach, also a much better vocalist and lyricist.
But I was just recommending it for people who hadn't checked it out :] every opinion is fine

well your favorite song was Spaceboy which was kind of the weak link (albeit still being good) of the soft songs here so I guess I was a little thrown off!

well "weak link" may be the wrong phrase but I mean I don't really get loving that one and thinking Disarm, Luna, or the first half of Soma suck or whatev

Well you're right ... I guess I don't really think about Disarm or Spaceboy as the "soft" songs here because they're all so short and sweet and somewhat in your face with emotion. I usually think of stuff like Soma or Mayonaise or some of Hummer. I really do think Spaceboy and Disarm are the best songs here, but the rest of the mellow stuff is p bad imo.

there's plenty of albums Log loves that i love as well, and as far as i know i only controversially hate albums, not like them, so i don't really get shit for shit i like, it's just for shit i don't like. it's not the same thing.
