It won't be a problem, just skip Beat and Three of A Perfect Pair and you'll be fine

(it's not that they're too different as much as they're just painfully meh)

Don't get me wrong though, there were differences between those Gen albums and between those Floyd albums, but imo they weren't as dramatic as those between KC albums.

I'm talking about the disaster Yes had with Big Generator.

Also, Danny, you need to check out Peter Gabriel's solo career, there's some really good stuff there.

Haven't heard that. Seeing as I'm not that huge on Yes, I prob won't bother.

Well, spoiler alert: Yes tried to play around with mainstream pop in the 80's, and it worked in 90125, but didn't in Big Generator.

Might check Gabriel's solo stuff in time. It's kinda tough when you have an eclectic taste like mine. People with narrower tastes should have an easier time cutting through music.

That makes sense EO, since Genesis did something similar in that decade. Most on the site seem to hate on 80's Gen for sounding poppy.

Pop isn't bad when it's done right. Yes did not do pop right with Big Generator, hence why it sucked balls.

Lol Starship.

My dad likes them lol, I've heard We Built This City, Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now, and maybe other songs (too many times). Cheesy as fuck.

Kind of a shame, since I believe they descended from the legendary 60's band Jefferson Airplane. To which I haven't listened yet, that I remember.
