I first got into Slayer when Divine Intervention came out and got into that. I was then given Show No Mercy and absolutely loved it - so interesting and diverse. Checking the rest their discog at the time and I was a bit underwhelmed by their classic period. Always more of a Metallica/Megadeth/Sepultura dude

Yeah, Slayer are my least favorite Big 4 band because - at least to me - nothing remotely approaches those first 3 albums. I remember being so disappointed when I first heard South of Heaven, and even though I like it more now, I still don't understand why it gets such a huge amount of praise
