I liked this a lot more until I listened to You Fail Me. This is kinda You Fail Me 2

“oof no single tear jester?”
Yea I always knew that’d be the most upsetting omission for some people lol. It’s a good track but I really like I Can Tell You About Pain more as an opener

single tear is rlly the only glaring omission there for me but interested to hear how pain fares as an opener. will give the playlist a jam

"a single tear" is sort of like "green light" from melodrama: "'poppy' as a Statement" first single and opening track, didn't like it on first listen, but then actually the best song on a disappointing album. another totally sound robertsona analogy

Take out Thousands of Miles and put A Single Tear somewhere back in there and that would be a much improved album indeed
|

Doesn’t flow as well tbh, I kept all the tracks that flow seamlessly in the right order to avoid any weird transitions

jamming the jester tracklist now and it destroys so far. i can tell you about pain makes for a wicked opener. haven't given the beautiful ruin songs many jams either and they're a lot stronger than i remembered

I haven't spun Converge in years but just picked this CD up on a whim. It really hit the spot.

Reptilian took me a long time to get into, I don't know why.

I thought that track was pretty average when they released it. It's still not my favorite, I feel it lacks too much of the stuff I like about Converge. What made it click for you?
