Ok, pop isn't my favourite genre but doesn't mean I just down rate it all, some albums in the same ballpark showing a spread of ratings:

Miley Pettz - 1.5

Meg Ryan sorry - 2

Neon Indian vega - 2

Grimes visions - 2.5

M.I.A kala - 3

Gunship - 3

Banks goddess - 3

The Knife deep cuts - 4

Blood Orange Cupid - 4

Destroyer kaputt - 5

The two arguments you get for showing any criticism for anything here are (1) but you never liked them (2) you know nothing about the genre.

Those arguments don't have any weight added by how you express the criticism

The Knife definitely classify as pop on that album, probably the closest match on the list

Heartbeats? Pass This On? You Take My Breath Away? These are pop songs

I like everything I really do, pop included but no matter what you like bullshit is hard to swallow.

"Those arguments don't have any weight added by how you express the criticism"

I'm not talking about the supposed counters, I'm talking about the criticisms expressed towards something. And as always, it depends. Sure, lots of people will do that but lots of people are idiots.

Woah, it's a nerd genre war showdown. Pop songs can be written, and get this, in pretty much any genre label you care to list (with obvious exceptions).

Sorry if this crumbles anyone's world

I didn't list One Direction in the list, these acts are all leaning towards the indie side of things. Pots tying himself in 'literal' knots yet again
