Archspire is pretty good but yeah Spawn of Possession blows and I've never had the desire to jam Rings of Saturn. I've found a few pretty good modern tech death bands, new Monotheist album is fucking sweet so I'd rec checking that.

monotheist isnt AWFUL, but tech death just isn't my thing. for me, this album doesn't rely on the cliches of that genre, it's just better and tighter music.
