Actually really like some of the tracks on here, there's no dynamics though unfortunately.

Literally everything is turned up to 11 and makes the album quite monotonous as a result.

Still think this one's mad underrated. I think it comes down to the more complex songwriting for me, which often harks back to the AJFA era. And even though the production is rough, I see that as actually benefitting the heavier moments

When I first heard this I didn't know what good production was so on this record it doesn't bother me.

Also, I'm convinced that if you combined the slow half of One with the fast half of The Day That Never Comes, you'd get the perfect Metallica power ballad

if I ever listen to One and I hear them transition to The Day That Never Comes, I'm looking for the person responsible and giving them a titty twister.

Opener is the best here by a mile, goes hard.

agreed

Biggest problem with this is that no matter how quiet the volume is, you'll still get a headache

i can see why making it staticy would've sounded like a cool concept in studio to make it sound raw, but it's also very funny that the definitive version of the album is a Rock Band rip on youtube.

it has some good moments. "broken beat and scarred" is the closest thing this comes to its 80's roots, tho in more of a mid-paced groovy way.

I'm down with Broken, Beat & Scarred also. The way that riff starts rolling at about the 1 minute mark is nasty.
