connection to this so that's an unfair statement to make until you let the new album sink in

completely.

not really, the lyrics and metaphores here are better thought out and more cohesive with the general structure of the songs, Absent Light has good lyrics but they dont pack the punch like on previous albums, they are somewhat hit or miss sometimes.
