Bloody love the Dutch. Hospitable, impeccable English, amazing football players and quality supporters, good at darts, like a pint. An all round good bunch.
Back to Opeth I prefer Sorceress to this.

''Back to Opeth I prefer Sorceress to this.''
You do?! You must either really hate this or not hate Sorceress as much as most of us. Or think both of them are mediocre. Wait, there are so many options still, my logic is super flawed.

Sorceress has some outstanding moments, it’s a few steps down the path from Heritage which as we know I absolutely love. This is far too much of a trudge for me.

Yeah, I've always felt that this was one of their most basic and uninteresting releases, same with Damnation.

I've been to the Netherlands twice the past two years, from good old Amsterdam all the way up to Groningen. If I went a bit norther, I'd end up to the pole. Had my worst trip in Utrecht!
Anyway, back to Opeth, yeah, I agree with Zak, probably I'd take Sorceress over this as well, if we're talking overall albums. But I feel like t/t is above all Sorceress.

I can’t imagine the Dutch people have often been praised for being ‘good at darts’ as a major selling point like that... classic zak line. I agree wholeheartedly with the rest, just saying. Haha.

Yeah, I had a blast. I stayed in a campervan with a friend a few kms away (at a charging station near Hollandse Ijssel) and we'd move to the city with bikes. This past December.

Agreed, amazing & underrated album.
Its Opeth, so hate it or love it but certainly left no one indifferent.

I was thinking this would only go one way, I purposefully played it 3rd (revisiting in ascending order) expecting this to fall further into the depths...
Is it way too early to change my mind again? It’s still kind of messy at times, but I’ve forgiven their early releases for these imperfections, why not this one? The production is better than I recall... I played the remaster (with Damnation straight after), for the record.

Heritage is up next Trifo, so far I’ve had one descent, two holding steady (rating-wise anyway, a slight improvement for PC) and one clear ascension. What will happen? Exciting times.

I actually rejammed all Opeth recently and made one increase and one reduction in my ratings.
