That is also true.

Something at least comparable rather than saying this is better than Jane Doe wtf.

Most of the time, I just don't have patience for stuff like Medicine Wheel or Reaction.

I haven't taken the time to get into this album yet. Can one of you rec me two or three tracks to replay a lot until I "get it"?

Actually better to listen to the full album as it all considered one track called "Colors."

what...

Interludes?

ok

medicine wheel is poorly placed though, agreed there. And yes, it really is better to listen to this as one song.

go away

@Mindtrain, if you really do want to have something grow on you, let it be "White Walls", the longest and last song. It's a good taste of what the album is like and the last 5 minutes are instrumental bliss.

I'm finding that to be very difficult. I usually stop halfway through not being able to take it anymore. I need to listen to it in smaller doses or this isn't gonna work for me.

let it be "White Walls"

thanks!

Neutral, I'm kinda tired of you acting like you know everything about music.

MindTrain, this isn't going to work for you. Try The Great Misdirect of The Silent Circus instead.

This has way too many mediocre/bad riffs to be considered a classic.

That's weird, I find it cohesively much better than individually.

Let White Walls grow on you, then start attempting in full

some people just don't like the style, but seeing as how you have no problem with genre juxtaposition itself (motW, Kayo Dot), that shouldn't be a problem. What might be a problem will be the length and the actual structure. But knowing your tastes, you might eventually love this album. Who knows.

I know what it's like to hate an album for 2 weeks then suddenly love it, so I'm giving this a real go.

actually yeah, if you want to get into BTBAM with more individual tracks, The Silent Circus is the way to go. Don't get TGM if you can;t get into this though, it's a worse version of this album.
