What kind of rye
pumpernickel, Sourdough rye, light rye, Jewish rye bread (often with caraway seeds)
Also Smok said "toast is not bread" which is stupid because "toast" is just shorthand for "toasted bread"

>"toast" is just shorthand for "toasted bread"
in that case "bread" is just short for "milled wheat mixed with water and leavened"

>well no that's not really analogous
point being that food having undergone chemical process = different object thus toast =/= bread
when you say im going to buy some bread do you mean toast? no
when you order a roast beef sandwich on toast do you expect it on floppy uncrisp rye? obviously not
is a muffin bread? is cake bread? no, different processing
the french and marie antoinette knew well the difference (or if you prefer the non-mythogical rendition, rousseau)

any definition of toast in a physical dictionary or on Wikipedia defines it as bread to which a process has been applied idk just feel like you’re wrong on this one somehow. and yea lots of foods are composites of individual ingredients too but don’t worry it’s not analogous
