First listen to the shitty quality leak suggests that the best songs on the album are the t/t and Blood Upon Stone. Will wait till I can buy the high res version off their bandcamp, but I don't think the new one quite reaches the level of this beast here.

off my first listen or two, the new one feels like it channels the dramatic highs of this while also working with the instrumental...breathing room? of something like Somewhere Along the Highway but that's based off my limited familiarity with those albums. the frigid, ethereal aesthetic conjured by the new one's artwork is strong though.
