For me, certain tracks just clicked right away and some took a few more listens. "Cygnus Terminal", "LCD", "Psychotropia", "Pteropticon" and "Pillars of Sand" were instant for me. Charging and Recharging The Void took a few listens to stick for me.

Agree with Pizza but our tracks differ.

Half the album hits immediately. A few tracks were growers for me though.

The growers for me were Psychotropia, Ultimate Artificer and a little bit with Pteropticon.

Instant hits were Collapse, Recharging the Void, Pillars of Sand, Cygnus Terminal and Charging the Void.

Yeah StarsDie. Ultimate Artificer, for some odd reason, took a while for me to dig it. Dont know why as it's been the one I've been jamming a ton lately. Cygnus Terminal is the pinnacle for me on this album though.

"What issues do you have with them?"

Those cleans sound a bit amateurish to me, and I don't think it works when the raspy voice comes on top.

The cleans sound pretty flat yeah, it would be better if they'd gotten a guest vocalist for those parts

I like that he did the best he could with his pipes as is. Feels honest and sincere.

He knew better than to try and REALLY sing, that would've been a disaster lol

Never had an issue with the Collapse vocals, they're appropriate for the song itself.

Yeah, I agree with Portal and Twister. The vocal lines on Collapse aren't very demanding. Nearly anyone could have sung it without the song sounding bad. And I like the fact that you hear a 'soft' side of his voice and I welcome soft-sung moments in the future for them as well. They just have to be executed in that manner in order to work because he is an amateur singer.
