In 10th grade or something like that we read Rime of the Ancient Mariner and the teacher said a lot of songs have been made of it and you already know I brought up Maiden. She asked if I could bring it the next day, so I got Iron Maiden played in class for 30 seconds. Probably the only cool thing I did in high school.

idk if it's the same in US schools, here in Aus we have music playing at the start of the day, at lunchtime, etc. like 5-10 mins before classes start, to let the kids know to get ready.
I have no idea what spurred this, but in high school the principal asked me to make a CD of Iron Maiden tracks to play so we had like a week or so of that :D

I was in a class called video productions, but it was split into tv, film, and radio. I was in the tv section, but the "radio" team played music at lunch. It was kind of a trial, cuz we didn't do it until that year and I don't know how long it lasted. But one of the guys that was on that team was big into Incubus, Norma Jean, Lamb of God, stuff like that. So he'd put something heavier in once in a while.
Our school district was tight-ass though, we couldn't even eat lunch outside.

In high school I was in a class that did stuff like photoshop and such but there was a month stretch where we were essentially just getting busy work so we made a masterfile for the assignments and cheated them so we got caught, but me and vice-principal bonded over Iron Maiden from the shirt I was wearing so I only got one day of Saturday school while others got 2 lol
