I just find it hard to believe people actually enjoy that song that's all! like if some no name artist released that pile of garbage people would just lump it with the rest of the dumb "experimental" crap that should never see the light of day
but noooo our heroes Radiohead made this. it must be absolute gold

im sorry I'm just vehemently against everything that song stands for and its entire existence
|
| |
i mean yeah it's weird but it's also really impressive. I think Radiohead expects the people that listen to genuinely enjoy it

oh im sure. ive just never listened to a song and had such a visceral reaction to it. hard to explain my hate for it perfectly.
rest of this album is pretty great tho!
|
| |
Calling it a pile of garbage considering the obvious craft involved.. if anyone else made it I would be just as impressed, we should be celebrating that Radiohead are willing to go so out there
|
| |
ok I'll quit geekin out now,. I get a visceral reaction from it too but in the opposite way haha

hahaha yes let's celebrate how brave Radiohead was for releasing such a terrible song. all things considered it's pretty incredible people didn't immediately throw away the album after hearing the track.

we clearly have very different ears, mine perk up when I hear something fresh and creative, even if it follows a different structure than I'm used to

ive heard all the lyric interpretations trust me.
ok...
well I'll admit the production on this song is very impressive and I like the instrumentals a lot more than I used to now that I have more of an appreciation for electronic music.
vocal effect still made me shake my head in frustration
overall I was wrong, it's an ok song. I havent heard it in years though so my mind always associated it with the worst of things. still wouldn't put it above most or any of these songs on this album tho
|
| |
Cool man, nah that's fair- course there's better songs here. and yeah some kind of electro foundation definitely helps

it is a triphop nightmare, really sonically deep and honestly one of their most atmospheric songs, even if its far from their best

"hahaha yes let's celebrate how brave Radiohead was for releasing such a terrible song."
Your close mindedness on the song is making me really want to defend it, especially since it's not even that bad

hahah I love shitting on it because people get uber defensive about the worst on a not so popular Radiohead album
but yeah ik it's not half bad I admitted it earlier

This is way better than I remember it being. Prob more consistent than Kid A but it doesn't have Kid A's very high highs.
