I didn't like this too much when I first heard it either. Turned out to be a blast. Changed the way I saw them a bit, but it set me up to dig Once and Emperor right out the gate. Not the ethereal journey of CtS, but good shit on its own.

EoS is the best of their last 3. Roots Remain is their best song in YEARS (Tread Lightly is up there too), and Ancient Kingdom, Clandestiny and Sultan’s Curse are amazing too. Ridiculously underrated album.
