I'm an outlier in that my fav CoL is Eternal Kingdom but if you ask me to an attuned ear EK is as much it's own strain of post-metal as any isis or neurosis, perhaps you could even say it bridges the two

Luna's grown on me over the years but Isis is easily my favorite post-metal band. Light Bearer's first album threatened, but that project never reached its climax, sadly.

Always preferred Neurosis and CoL to Isis for the most part. For whatever reason, the atmospheres on those hit me harder. Particularly the STNS/EoES Neurosis era
