Syn and Rev were always the highlights of this band and no one else in the band came close to them.

Matt contributes a lot more than just his vocals js

Yeah i love people saying this would be a better band without him but its one of those billy corgan things where it would just be a different band then lol

billy corgan's vocals are only condonable because the entire band is his neurotic manifestation and his shit-where-u-eat approach to everything ever might as well extend all the way to his godawful voice
don't think shadows is quite on that level

Yeah I can goddamn guarantee you that most of the weirder tracks on LIBAD all started with Matt

I'm assuming the only useless guy in the band is the bassist

I wouldn’t say useless, Johnny really does have some great basslines (the clean sections of Bat Country immediately come to mind, and a fuckload of parts on LIBAD), but yes I don’t think it’s unfair to say that he probably contributes the least out of the five in the band rn

It is an absolute joke The Stage and LIBAD have a higher average than this. But muh M Shadows using funny lyrics and accent in critical acclaim = bad album.

they’re much better albums and Matt’s vocals have very little to do with it. He’s literally a worse vocalist on those records

Nah there isn't a single person on earth I would believe who says LIBAD is better than this album. People straight up lying to themselves.

apt description tbf. still a really fun album though and my nostalgia is not making me biased at all in saying that.

I just realized this album is written from the perspective of a bipolar maniacal sociopath. I started putting the pieces together when I paid more attention to Scream and ALPOF, then some of the weird shit in Critical Acclaim and the obvious lyrics of Almost Easy, and it made me think damn this is one crazy bipolar son bitch writing a giant diary. Especially, ALPOF, that is probably the most fucked up song they have ever written. When you think of it that way then it also can make the other more normal songs still feel creepy, because it's like the crazy guy is just calm for those songs but you know he's still hiding something. This is peak character writing and trolling by Sanders. I love the hiding crazy lyrics behind nice sounding music, which perfectly represents how sociopaths gaslight people. My opinion of the album def went up after I realized it's that type of character concept album.
