I SWEAR I SWEAR IT'S WORTH SAVING US
Guardians might be my favourite song by them, top 5 for sure.

it's okay so say this is their best
easy for me to say so since i never got as attached to define the great line or only chasing safety but that's at no fault to the albums.

Held this at a 4.5 for a long time, but it's time to bump it up to a 5. It's just too good.

"Just curious, those who say this is their best, when did you start listening to underoath?"
I'd say this is probably their second best, right behind DTGL. Started listening to Underoath in like 2004-2005 ish? Somewhere around the time of TOCS but before DTGL. Why?

He's probably assuming that those people are newer listeners. I'd put this 3rd behind DTGL and LITSOS

Ive always thought LITSOS was the best, followed by this and then DTGL

I first jammed Underoath in like 2009 but didn't get super into them until like 2013ish

Honestly not assuming and just genuinely curious.

But If I had to gander I would guess that most people who prefer this only got into them once this was already out.
Nothing wrong with that. I got into Deftones with ohms. Almost 20 years after hearing my own summer.

When I started to get into them I went in order with the Spencer albums, and this one was my favorite on first listen and it just stayed that way. TOCS has aged terribly for me, DTGL has gotten better over time, and LITSOS just stayed consistent lol. I used to hate all of the Dallas albums, but Changing of Times is good and Cries has some solid stuff

Damn, I'm the opposite. My first underoath experience was TOCS and I fucking hated it. Now there are days when it's my favourite album by them. This, however, is a completely different beast. Remember them streaming the whole thing on myspace back in the day, blew me away. Had it on constant rotation that year. However, I don't think any of Underoath's highs reach the same level of excellence as on Lost in the Sound of Separation.

I do love LITSOS for sure, just something about it feels missing and I'm not even sure what it is lol. I just love this thing front to back, but honestly Any of the three of DTGL, LITSOS, or this make sense to me for being a favorite
