We must've spoken about this before doof but just how earth shattering was this back in the day? Beyond comparison innit.

It cemented my love of music to the extent I knew it'd fascinate me more than any other hobby/artform for the rest of my life.

Every time it was played at school in a cheap cassette player it felt like an event. The first three songs were sometimes all you'd get through break time but they were absolute legend.

I'd say 90% of kids liked Nirvana and were swept up by them, it was hard not to be. They cut like a machete through everything else around at the time. A force of nature.

Elvis, Beatles, Sex Pistols...Nirvana. They had that sort of impact.

"They cut like a machete through everything else around at the time."

Taylor Swift carries on Cobain's legacy of being the voice of the generation. Poetic

Works well when what you're cutting is the limp noodles of mainstream radio.

Look, I'm just messing around. I skipped grunge entirely growing up, so I don't have any stake here.
